Salt of the Earth
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good
for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot
of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on
an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put
it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all that are in the house.
Matthew 5:13-15
Satan & The Devil
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt
the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding
high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world,
and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will
I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith
Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou
shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and ministered
unto him.
Matthew 3:7-11
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness
in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:11-13
Second Coming of Jesus / Resurrection
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son
of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient
of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was
given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people,
nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an
everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom
[that] which shall not be destroyed.
Daniel 7:13-14
And he shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he
that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 10:22
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was
cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it
was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the
good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Matthew 13:47-48
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating
and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day
that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came,
and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be.
Matthew 24:38-39
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth
come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known
in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and
would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore
be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son
of man cometh.
Matthew 24:42-44
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come,
ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye
gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger,
and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and
ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall
the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred,
and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink? When saw we
thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And
the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these
my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.
Matthew 25:34-40
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the
world. Amen.
Matthew 28:19-20
But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the
angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
[For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left
his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man
his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore:
for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even,
or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest
coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you
I say unto all, Watch.
Mark 13:32-37
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men,
him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the
angels of God.
Luke 12:8-9
Let your loins be girded about, and [your] lights burning;
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when
he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh,
they may open unto him immediately. Blessed [are] those servants,
whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say
unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down
to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall
come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find
[them] so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if
the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would
come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house
to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son
of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
Luke 12:35-40
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts
be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of
this life, and [so] that day come upon you unawares. For as a
snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the
whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may
be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come
to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:34-36
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now
is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and
they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself;
so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath
given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the
Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the
which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall
come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of
life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation.
John 5:25-29
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which
seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:40
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus
Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised
up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also
should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together
in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness]
of [his] resurrection.
Romans 6:3-5
And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to
awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when
we believed.
Romans 13:11
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this
corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must]
put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:50-53
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning
them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which
have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which
are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not
prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so
shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another
with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need
that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the
day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they
shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon
them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not
escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day
should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light,
and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of
darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let
us watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I
have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown
of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall
give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also
that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great
recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after
ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For
yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will
not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man]
draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrews 10:35-38
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the
earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early
and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for
the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
James 5:7-8
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,
and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth
shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Revelation 1:7
But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come. And
he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him
will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with
a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken
to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give
him the morning star. He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 2:25-29
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that
no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar
in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will
write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of
my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven
from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name. He that
hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 3:11-13
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore,
and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and
will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will
I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an
ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 3:19-22
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven
and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from
God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall
be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their
God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there
shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:1-4
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of
the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh
shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall
be my son.
Revelation 21:6-7
Seeking God & Jesus
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father,
and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for
the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations
of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;
but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
1 Chronicles 28:9
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my
soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living
God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Psalms 42:1-2
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the
way everlasting.
Psalms 139:23-24
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock,
and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth;
and he that seeketh findeth; and to him tha t knocketh it shall
be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread,
will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him
a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts
unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is
in heaven give good things to them that ask him:
Matthew 7:7-11
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and
broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there
be which go in thereat: Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow
[is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that
cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me
shall never thirst.
John 6:35
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me
are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am
the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture.
John 10:7-9
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let
your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And
the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep
your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:4-7
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore,
and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and
will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will
I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an
ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 3:19-22
Sinfulness
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:
according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my
transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse
me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin
is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and
done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified
when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest
. Purge
me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be
whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the
bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from
my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean
heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:1-10
For as the heaven is high above the earth, [so] great is his
mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the
west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:11-12
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the
way everlasting.
Psalms 139:23-24
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though
your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though
they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:18
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ
died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one
die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to
die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast,
unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch
as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
I Corinthians 15:55-58
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh
on the children of disobedience.
Colossians 3:5-6
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for
God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust,
and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth
sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:13-15
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his
word is not in us.
1 John 1:8-10
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye
sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our
sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole
world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his
commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso
keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:
hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in
him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1 John 2:1-6
Speech, Swearing & Foul
Language
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain:
for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name
in vain.
Exodus 20:7
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalms 19:14
The earth [is] the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the
seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into
the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He
that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted
up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive
the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of
his salvation.
Psalms 24:1-5
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my
lips. Incline not my heart to [any] evil thing, to practise wicked
works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their
dainties. Let the righteous smite me; [it shall be] a kindness:
and let him reprove me; [it shall be] an excellent oil, [which]
shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also [shall be] in
their calamities.
Psalms 141:3-5
The mouth of a righteous [man is] a well of life: but violence
covereth the mouth of the wicked. Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. In the lips of him that hath understanding
wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void
of understanding. Wise [men] lay up knowledge: but the mouth
of the foolish [is] near destruction.
Proverbs 10:11-14
In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that
refraineth his lips [is] wise.
Proverbs 10:19
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man
of understanding holdeth his peace. A talebearer revealeth secrets:
but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
Proverbs 11:12-13
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir
up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but
the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:1-2
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and
health to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24
He that hath knowledge spareth his words: [and] a man of understanding
is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace,
is counted wise: [and] he that shutteth his lips [is esteemed]
a man of understanding.
Proverbs 17:27-28
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that
love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs 18:21
Seest thou a man [that is] hasty in his words? [there is]
more hope of a fool than of him.
Proverbs 29:20
Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty
to utter [any] thing before God: for God [is] in heaven, and
thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
Ecclesiastes 5:2
But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for
it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool:
neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither
shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one
hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea;
Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Matthew 5:33-37
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth
good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth
forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that
men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of
judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy
words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:34-37
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but
that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may
be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in
the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine
as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:14-15
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: that
the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity,
in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior
as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine,
teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women
to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their
own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Young men
likewise exhort to be soberminded. In all things showing thyself
a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity,
sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that
is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing
to say of you.
Titus 2:1-8
[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be]
content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to
hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh
not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness
and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the
engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
James 1:19-21
For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and
of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full
of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and
therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of
God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My
brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:7-10
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another,
love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil
for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing;
knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit
a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let
him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak
no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace,
and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the
Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter 3:8-12
Strength
The Lord [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the
horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. I will call upon the
Lord, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from
mine enemies.
Psalm 18:2-3
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalms 19:14
The Lord [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the Lord [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, [even] mine enemies and my foes, came upon me
to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should
encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should
rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.
Psalms 27:1-3
Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because
of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies:
for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe
out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the
goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait,
I say, on the Lord.
Psalms 27:11-14
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and
though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though
the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains
shake with the swelling thereof. Be still, and know that I am
God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in
the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is
our refuge.
Psalms 46:1-3, 10-11
He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence;
I shall not be moved. In God [is] my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God. Trust
in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before
him: God [is] a refuge for us.
Psalms 62:5-8
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew [their] strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and
not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and
might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he
removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the
wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth
the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him.
Daniel 2:20-22
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house
upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and
the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for
it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:24-25
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet
shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Ephesians 6:13-17
For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith]
to be content. I know both how to be , and I know how to abound:
every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full
and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do
all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:11-13
