War & Peace
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: the Lord make his face
to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift
up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the Lord [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, [even] mine enemies and my foes, came upon me
to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should
encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should
rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.
Psalms 27:1-3
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose
under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die: a time
to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time
to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time
to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn,
and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to
gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain
from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to
keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to
sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love,
and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many
people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and
their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword
against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Isaiah 2:4
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall
lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the
fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the
cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down
together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking
child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child
shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt
nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full
of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 11:6-9
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that
bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good
tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth!
Isaiah 52:7
Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed
[are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children
of God.
Matthew 5:8-9
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not
to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance
against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and
the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes
[shall be] they of his own household. He that loveth father or
mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son
or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh
not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:34-38
For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and
every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy
and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And
the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make
peace.
James 3:16-18
Weariness & Exhaustion
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew [their] strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and
not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9
Weather in the Bible
For I know that the Lord [is] great, and [that] our Lord [is]
above all gods. Whatsoever the Lord pleased, [that] did he in
heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places. He causeth
the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings
for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
Psalms 135:5-7
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and
returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it
bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and
bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out
of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish
that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto
I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10-11
Blessed [is] the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose
hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and [that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not
see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall
not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from
yielding fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and
he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After
two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us
up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, [if]
we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as
the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter
[and] former rain unto the earth.
Hosea 6:1-3
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house
upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and
the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for
it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:24-25
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little
faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and
there was a great calm. But the men marveled, saying, What manner
of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Matthew 8:26-27
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the
earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early
and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for
the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
James 5:7-8
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,
and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth
shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Revelation 1:7
Whining & Complaining
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may
be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in
the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine
as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:14-15
Wickedness & Evil
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside
the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms 23:1-6
The Lord [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the Lord [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, [even] mine enemies and my foes, came upon me
to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should
encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should
rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.
Psalms 27:1-3
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither me thou envious
against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down
like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord,
and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou
shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall
give thee the desires of thy heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall
bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment
as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because
of the man who bringeth wicked devises to pass. Cease from anger,
and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For
evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord,
they shall inherit the earth.
Psalms 37:1-9
Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
Psalms 37:27
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work
of them that turn aside; [it] shall not cleave to me. A froward
heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked [person].
Psalms 101:3-4
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh
my help. My help [cometh] from the Lord, which made heaven and
earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth
thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither
slumber nor sleep. The Lord [is] thy keeper: the Lord [is] thy
shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all
evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy
going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for
evermore.
Psalms 121:1-8
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the
way everlasting.
Psalms 139:23-24
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my
lips. Incline not my heart to [any] evil thing, to practise wicked
works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their
dainties. Let the righteous smite me; [it shall be] a kindness:
and let him reprove me; [it shall be] an excellent oil, [which]
shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also [shall be] in
their calamities.
Psalms 141:3-5
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant
unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding
shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man,
from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths
of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice
to do evil, and delight in the forwardness of the wicked; Whose
ways are crooked, and they forward in their paths.
Proverbs 2:10-15
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way
of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass
away. For they sleep not, except when they have done mischief;
and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth
more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is
as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Proverbs 4:14-19
These six [things] doth the Lord hate: yea, seven [are] an
abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands
that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness [that]
speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:16-19
The fear of the Lord [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy,
and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Proverbs 8:13
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily,
therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to
do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his [days]
be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them
that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well
with the wicked, neither shall he prolong [his] days, [which
are] as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.
Ecclesiastes 8:11-13
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the
evil days come not, not the years draw nigh, when thou shalt
say, I have no pleasure in them; While the sun, or the light,
or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return
after the rain; In the day when the keepers of the house shall
tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders
cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows
be darkened, And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when
the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the
voice of the bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought
low.
Ecclesiastes 12:1-4
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put
darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for
sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and
a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil:
but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him
the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and
take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. And whosoever
shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him
that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn
not thou away. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them
that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you,
and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father
which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil
and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:38-45
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever
shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat,
let him have [thy] cloke also. And whosoever shall compel thee
to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asketh thee,
and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
Matthew 5:39-42
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore
no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought
for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil
thereof.
Matthew 6:32-34
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth
good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth
forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that
men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of
judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy
words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:34-37
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that
is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver
us from evil.
Luke 11:4
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,
but rather reprove [them].
Ephesians 5:11
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as
wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness
in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:11-13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet
shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Ephesians 6:13-17
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may
be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in
the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine
as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:14-15
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh
on the children of disobedience.
Colossians 3:5-6
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from
all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:21-22
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while
some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced
themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God,
flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness,
faith, love, patience, meekness.
1 Timothy 6:10-11
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for
God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust,
and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth
sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:13-15
Will of God
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our
Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood
of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work
to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in
his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever
and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house
upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and
the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for
it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:24-25
Wisdom, Knowledge & Understanding
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the
hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with
hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter
than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones
[which] thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins,
and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart,
O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:6-10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments
with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, [and]
apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after
knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou
seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as [for] hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the
knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth
[cometh] knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:1-6
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant
unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding
shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man,
from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths
of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice
to do evil, and delight in the forwardness of the wicked; Whose
ways are crooked, and they forward in their paths.
Proverbs 2:10-15
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth
understanding. For the merchandising of it is better than the
merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than find gold. She
is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire
are not to be compared with her.
Proverbs 3:13-15
Keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto
thy soul, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down,
thou shall not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep
shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the
desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall
be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Proverbs 3:21-26
The mouth of a righteous [man is] a well of life: but violence
covereth the mouth of the wicked. Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. In the lips of him that hath understanding
wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void
of understanding. Wise [men] lay up knowledge: but the mouth
of the foolish [is] near destruction.
Proverbs 10:11-14
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man
of understanding holdeth his peace. A talebearer revealeth secrets:
but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
Proverbs 11:12-13
He that hath knowledge spareth his words: [and] a man of understanding
is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth
his peace, is counted wise: [and] he that shutteth his lips [is
esteemed] a man of understanding.
Proverbs 17:27-28
Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and
might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he
removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the
wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth
the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him.
Daniel 2:20-22
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house
upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and
the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for
it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:24-25
I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon
a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the
winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell no; for it
was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth there sayings
of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish
man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended,
and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house;
and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 7:24-27
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge
of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past
finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who
hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and
it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through
him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever.
Amen.
Romans 11:33-36
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as
wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let
your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And
the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep
your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:4-7
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of
the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:16-17
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue;
and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to
temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness
brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if
these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall]
neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:5-8
Witchcraft, Sorcery &
Idolatry
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,
but rather reprove [them].
Ephesians 5:11
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh
on the children of disobedience.
Colossians 3:5-6
With God All Things are Possible
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our
God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8
And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples,
How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom
of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus
answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it
for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than
for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. And they were
astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then
can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it
is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are
possible.
Mark 10:23-27
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit
of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except
ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that
abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:4-5
For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith]
to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to
abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to
be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:11-13
Witnessing for Jesus
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good
for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot
of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on
an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put
it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all that are in the house.
Matthew 5:13-15
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill
cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under
a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all
that are in the house.
Matthew 5:14-15
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men,
him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the
angels of God.
Luke 12:8-9
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have
not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how
shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How
beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 10:13-15
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may
be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in
the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine
as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:14-15
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not
a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a
glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was.
James 1:22-24

Psalms 37:1-9
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me,
and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit,
out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established
my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise
unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in
the Lord.
Psalms 40:1-3
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted
within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who
is] the health of my countenance, and my God.
Psalm 42:11
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me,
[and set me] in a large place. The Lord [is] on my side; I will
not fear: what can man do unto me?
Psalms 118:5-6
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what
ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; not yet for your body,
what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the
body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow
not, neither do they reap, not gather into barns; yet your heavenly
Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which
of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment: Consider the lilies of the
field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And
yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass
of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven,
shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we
drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these
things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall
be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:25-34
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what
ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body,
what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the
body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow
not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly
Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:25-26
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of
the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was
not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the
grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into
the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little
faith?
Matthew 6:27-30
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore
no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought
for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil
thereof.
Matthew 6:32-34
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13
[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be]
content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon
him; for he careth for you.
